Library staff have chosen five book candidates for the inaugural StoryWalk® title.Thanks to everyone that participated and contributed to our 2023 Battle of the Books, which ended on March 4.Ĭongratulations to this year's winners! Ferocious Felines took home the win this year in our Final Battle, with 77.5 points (out of a possible 84). Different stories will be featured throughout the seasons. In addition to pages from a picture book, each sign will feature a fun early literacy activity to do while walking. Beginning in September 2017, the StoryWalk® will be a permanent fixture along the Sharp Park path. Storywalk® is a registered service mark owned by Ms. The StoryWalk® Project was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, VT and developed in collaboration with the Kellogg-Hubbard Library. StoryWalks® have been installed in 50 states and 11 countries. As you stroll down the trail, you're directed to the next page in the story. Laminated pages from a children's book are attached to wooden stakes, which are installed along an outdoor path. StoryWalk® is an innovative and delightful way for all ages to enjoy reading and the outdoors at the same time.
